UCI Graduate Student, Layah Ziaii-Bigdeli's Curatorial Internship at the Smithsonian's Freer and Sackler Galleries

Congratulations to Ms. Layah Ziaii-Bigdeli, PhD Student in UCI's PhD program in Visual Studies and affiliated graduate student of UCI's Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture for being awarded a curatorial internship at the Smithsonian's Freer and Sackler galleries.

Smithsonian's Freer and Sackler galleries hold one of the world's foremost collections of ancient Iranian art. Generously supported by a gift from Mr. Vincent Steckler to UCI's Department of Art History, this internship will support Ms. Ziaii-Bigdeli cutting-edge technical and provenance research on the Freer | Sackler's holdings of Iranian silver, ceramics and archival material.
