Overview of the Symposium:

“Difference” often implies anomaly, abnormality, and in some extreme cases, a medical condition. In conjunction with the Drama Department’s production of I Dream of Chang and Eng, the story of the original Siamese Twins by Philip Kan Gotanda, this Medical Humanities symposium takes an interdisciplinary approach to explore various aspects of cultural, racial, gender, linguistic, and physical difference both as a form of disability/disease as well as an opportunity for success.

Part I: Sunday, April 30th 9:45am-1:45pm
Part 2: Saturday, May 6th 9:45am-1:45pm
