News Details

We are excited to invite you to participate in the creation of a new Latin American Studies Center Journal. Graduate students will run the journal with guidance and collaboration from professors associated with the LASC. We will be working on developing and creating the first issue during the upcoming academic year.

We are looking for interested graduate students who have already finished the Latin American Studies workshop for the following positions:

Managing Editors: We need two additional students who can commit to two academic years for this position.

If you have not completed the LASC workshop but are currently enrolled for the 2018-2019 academic year, you may apply to the following three positions:

Copyeditors: We need two students who can commit to a minimum of one-year (or one issue) for this position.

Layout/Design: We need one student who can commit to a minimum of one-year (or one issue) for this position.

Outreach and Communication:  We need one student who can commit to a minimum of one-year (or one issue) for this position.

To be considered for any of these positions, please send us a short paragraph to lasc.journal.uci@gmail.com by October 23, 2018. In this paragraph, please state why you would like to participate in the journal and what qualifications and skills you bring to the position.

Once again, the only requirement for any of these positions is that you must have completed the Latin American Studies Workshop (or must be currently enrolled in it) and be able to commit to the time specified for each position.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Ángeles Torres-Méndez
