Mohammed Shariff

ShariffMohammed Shariff is a fifth-year Literary Journalism major. He is
co-founder and co-editor of JET-LAGGED Magazine along with
Charisma Madarang. This will be Mohammed's second year with kiosk. After his stint at UCI, he intends to go to graduate school, preferably in New York. He takes that back -- only in New York! His long-term plan/dream for now anyway is to be an editor for Vogue, and to become the male version of Jhumpa Lahiri. He's teaching a class at UC Irvine in the spring quarter on the South Asian Diaspora in film and encourages everyone to please sign up. This will be his second year teaching the course.

Latest read: The Comedians, by Graham Greene; A New Earth, by Eckhart Tolle

Favorite LitJ Book: Hiroshima, by John Hersey

Next destination: Back home for break. Home-cooked food!

Recommended reading for everyone: Jhumpa Lahiri, all three books!

Something people don't know but should: JET-LAGGED Magazine's third issue was
released this fall (The Forbidden Fruit issue). The new website will be
launching soon, and the fourth issue is underway.
