Tristan Schlotz

SchlotzTristan Schlotz is a third-year Literary Journalism and Comparative Literature double major. Born and raised in Fresno, California, he spends most of his time reading trashy science fiction novels and cheesy comic books. He is involved in many publications on campus, including the New University newspaper and Jet-Lagged Magazine. After he graduates, he hopes to find work in a newsroom, preferably somewhere where it rains in the winter, and to get published in as many places as he can.

Latest read: Mythologies by Roland Barthes and Neuromancer by William Gibson

Next destination: I'm going to hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail over spring break. After that: Silver Pass.

Something people don't know about but should: The California water crisis is deepending as the L.A. Basin consumes more water than the Colorado River and the San Joaquin river deltas combined. Natural resources are limited and must be managed more responsibly.
