Louise Truong

Truong Born and raised in Southern California, Louise Truong is a fourth-year
Literary Journalism and Criminology; Law & Society double major. She is planning on attending law school for Fall 2010. She does not know if she wants to become a lawyer or not, but she does know that she does want to do something that allows her to explore her curiosity as well as write about it. Her dream job would be to be a CNN correspondent (most of them have law degrees). But she would be just as happy practicing international law and writing for magazines on the side.

Next trip:
My next trip will be to whichever law school that I finally end up at for Fall 2010.
Section of the newspaper I go to first: I always go to the Calendar section to check out the movie reviews, especially Kenneth Turan's of the Los Angeles Times reviews.
The story behind the story: I was reading the Local Section of the Orange County Register and came across an article about an organ donor drive happening in Laguna Niguel. The story went on to discuss about how Donna, a mother who gave up her son's heart so another boy can live, was going to attend the drive. I looked up Donna's information and was able to get in contact with her. Through Donna, I met the Truxaw family and the rest is history.
