Spotlight

Learn to Code with Me is a cross between a MOOC and a support group. Join DH Librarian Madelynn Dickerson to learn Python with a special focus on working with texts.

Learn to Code with Me is a recurring series for anyone interested in learning about computer coding with a supportive group of co-learners using openly available lessons. We are learning the Python programming language, with a special focus on working with texts, including getting text from websites, and cleaning data.

Everyone is welcome! We are back for Winter 2020, following on the lessons we learned during the Fall.  Missed it last quarter but still want to learn Python with us? No problem! All our lessons are posted online. Madelynn Dickerson (Research Librarian for Digital Humanities and History) is also happy to meet individually with anyone who would like to catch up or review.

Winter Quarter Dates: Jan 23, Feb 6, Feb 20, and Mar 5, 2020 from 3:30 - 4:30pm

Where:  Multimedia Resources Center, Room 164 (First Floor, Science Library) Here is a map!
