Swept away by the Danube River

Meet Steven Nave, graduate student in the Department of German Studies and a member of the Humanities Center Graduate Liaison Network

Steven Nave began German Studies after being swept away by the Danube River, and continues to look for the arteries that bind together various disciplines. He’s interested in the way that changes in literary topoi correspond to changes in cultural attitudes, and has worked on German Indology and Buddhism. He’s now working on ecological and religious elements in German literature. His hobbies are learning languages and writing.
