Dr. Armine Ishkanian is an Assistant Professor (tenured) and Programme Director of the MSc in Social Policy and Development in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics. She has expertise in civil society, democratization, gender, social policy and development in the post-socialist countries of the former Soviet Union and Europe. She will speak about the current situation in Armenia and how it has been shaped by, and is a consequence of, the politics and policies of the past twenty-five years of independence.
