Wang Ning, one of China’s leading scholars in literary and cultural studies, has taught at Tsinghua University since 2000, where he founded the Ph. D program in English language and literature, the comprehensive graduate program in foreign languages and literatures, and the Center for Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at Tsinghua University. He has held visiting appointments at Yale University, the University of Toronto, the University of Oslo, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Washington University in St. Louis, and Cambridge University.
