Our own Anandi is now officially Dr. Anandi Rao. Her dissertation,"In the Name of Shakespeare: (En)gendering India through Translation" is a brilliant, pathbreaking and distinguished thesis awaiting publication. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have chaired her committee. All of us in the committee (Professors Julia Lupton, Ngugi wa Thiong'o and Ketu Katrak: thank you all) learned immensely from Anandi's work. Thank you, Congratulations also Anandi on your NYU Shanghai Teaching Fellowship. Onward, Forward, Upward dear Anandi as you keep translating your success into many languages.
