In January 2017 the Translation Committee of the Society for Classical Studies (SCS) approved the creation of a Greek and Latin Translation Database to be developed and housed in the UCI School of Humanities, under the guidance of Andrew Zissos (project director) and James Brusuelas (added to the project as assistant director in the fall of 2018). A pilot version of the system has been created by Wylie Visconti in close consultation with Dwayne Pack, both from Humanities Computer Consulting at UCI. Data gathering is still in its initial stages; in the summer of 2018 Michaela Phan of Exeter Academy (seen here at her home institution) worked very productively as an intern under Professor Zissos; among her tasks was the compilation of data on translations of Petronius.
