Undergraduate and 4+1 Travel Research Awards

Art History Majors,  4+1 Art History MA Students, Art History and Archaeology Minors are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $1,000 for Art History-focused projects. The deadline to apply for this funding cycle is Monday, April 13th at 7 am.

Funds may be used for the following:

  • Research travel, such as flights, ground transportation, and lodging; archival and copying fees; and other research expenses, such as translation or transcription;

  • Conference travel, including registration, flights, ground transportation and lodging. Please note meals are not included.

  • Other expenses that may be eligible for reimbursement include gas and parking to visit a museum, meet a collector, interview an artist and museum entry fees for the purpose of conducting research.

Undergraduate student applicants are encouraged to apply for UROP and use the FOAH travel research award for a UROP project or other faculty-mentored travel research.

Note: funding may be applied to a travel research or UROP project undertaken within the past year.
