The National Museum of Women in the Arts Internships and Awards

The National Museum of Women in the Arts is accepting applications for the following Su20 undergraduate internships:

·         Development & Membership Internship
·         Education Internship
·         Library & Research Center Internship
·         Publications & Communications/Marketing Internship

Application Deadline: March 15th

Funding: The NMWA provides a $1,500 stipend and our Friends of Art History (FOAH) will provide an additional $4,200 to the selected student following confirmation of completion and submission of materials as described below.

Students selected for one of these internships are invited to apply. Submit your application here (link to Scout) with a copy to Cecilia Flanagan at c.flanagan@uci.edu when you apply for the internship and email Cecilia with your confirmation letter from NMWA if you are selected.

The chosen candidate should submit the following materials upon completion of the internship:
·         a one-page or less letter of recommendation and/or evaluation from your NMWA supervisor confirming you completed 100 hours or more. This email should be mailed directly from your supervisor to Cecilia Flanagan at c.flanagan@uci.edu. Allow your supervisor time to write the letter by emailing them shortly before your internship ends and provide them with details of your internship and your accomplishments to facilitate their efforts.
·         a short (200 word) report explaining your responsibilities as an intern, what you learned and gained from the experience (include skills you developed and/or improved), why you chose to intern at this particular organization,
and your ideas for improving this specific internship and/or internships in general.
Eligibility note for the NMWA internship and $1,500 stipend:

The NMWA internship program is specifically designed for students who have completed their sophomore year of undergraduate study (or higher) and recent graduates who have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Eligibility requirements for the Friends of Art History NMWA award:

UCI Art History major, AH and/or Archaeology minor
minimum 3.0 GPA in the major and/or overall
Internship hours should total 100 hours or more.
