Congratulations to Layah Ziaii-Bigdeli, PhD Student in UCI's PhD program in Visual Studies, for being awarded a curatorial internship at the Smithsonian's Freer and Sackler in Washington, D.C., which hold one of the world's foremost collections of ancient Iranian art. Generously supported by a gift from Mr. Vincent Steckler to UCI's Department of Art History, this internship will support Ms. Ziaii-Bigdeli cutting-edge technical and provenance research on the Freer | Sackler's holdings of Iranian silver, ceramics and archival material. https://www.freersackler.si.edu/collections-area/ancient-near-east/
