We invite you proposals to the 2017 Southeast Asian American Studies Conference, which will be held July 27-29, 2017, at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
The 2017 conference theme is “Community Engagement, Research, and Policy in Action.”
The extended deadline for proposals is Feb. 20, 2017. Further information about proposals is available at: https://www.uml.edu/conferences/seaas-2017/submissions.aspx
The 2017 conference seeks to:

• highlight Southeast Asian American communities in New England;
• build & strengthen bridges across disciplines (humanities, social sciences, and sciences); and
• build & strength cooperation among researchers, organizers, policymakers, and community members.

The Southeast Asian American Studies conference meets every three years to discuss the history and current state of Southeast Asian American studies, its relations with Southeast Asian American communities, and future directions. Previous meetings were held in 2014 at the University of Minnesota, 2011 at San Francisco State University, and 2008 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and 2005 at the University of California, Riverside.
