Francis Cullado, Executive Director of Visual Communications (VC), will be speaking to AAS 200c (Community Leadership and Social Change) this Monday, April 8 at 1:30 pm in Humanities Gateway 3301. As some of you may know, the mission of VC is to "develop and support the voices of Asian American and Pacific Islander filmmakers and media artists who empower communities and challenge perspectives." VC organizes screenings, exhibitions, and film festivals, mostly notably the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival as well as housing the VC Archives, one of the largest photographic and moving image archives on Asian Pacific experiences in America.
Although Francis is visiting 200c, this event is open to the public.
There will be 5 guest speakers that will be visiting this class over the course of spring quarter.
