Forty years ago, Houston hosted the 1977 International Year of Women/National Women’s Conference.  Inspired by the 1975 United Nations Conference in Mexico City and funded by the U.S. federal government, the NWC attracted 20,000 attendees, including 2,000 delegates from the fifty states and six territories. Please join us to learn about the Asian American and Pacific Islander women who participated in this historic event.
