Richard ArumRichard Arum will discuss the history of evidence-based teaching -- and why we should care.

Richard Arum is UCI's Dean of Education and Professor of Sociology. His research areas include Legal and Institutional Environments of Schools, Social Stratification, and Digital Education. He is the co-author of  Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses (University of Chicago Press 2011) and many other works.
