The Pandemic Tarot Card: A Collective Tarot-Making Workshop

Join us for the final Open in Emergency event of the year, with past facilitators Mimi Khúc, Simi Kang, Yanyi, and Shana Haydock returning to lead us in a workshop to collectively create a new tarot card for the Asian American Tarot that will capture our experiences of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will generate ideas to inform the text of this collective card as well as imagery that will inspire artist Nguyen Khoi Nguyen as he live-illustrates during the workshop. This card will be finalized and published digitally by AALR as a new piece for Open in Emergency. Come build community and collectively process the struggles of the last year by creating a tarot card together!

Date: Wednesday, May 12, 2021
