Veteran media executive Charlotte Koh will discuss a variety of entertainment industry-related topics, including diversity and inclusion and the impact of the pandemic on SVOD television platforms. Please submit your question in advance via the RSVP form below. This unique talk will be moderated by Crystal Kim, a recent alum from UCI's MFA program in Drama. This event is co-sponsored by the Departments of Asian American Studies, East Asian Studies, English, and Film & Media Studies at UCI.  This event is part of the ongoing "21st Century Korean Screen Cultures Series" hosted by the Center for Critical Korean Studies in 2021.

Charlotte Koh
Chicago-native media executive and producer Charlotte Koh is the founder of Hulu Originals. She has produced Emmy-nominated scripted and unscripted television, Oscar-nominated feature films, digital/social video, and audio storytelling at companies such as Hello Sunshine, Marvel, GoPro, HuffPost, and Searchlight. Other projects include: Shine On with Reese (Netflix), Get Organized with The Home Edit (Netflix), The Awesomes (Hulu), East Los High (Hulu), The Last King of Scotland (Searchlight), and Notes on a Scandal (Searchlight). She is an adjunct professor at USC's School of Cinematic Arts Peter Stark Producing Program, from which she earned an MFA. She holds a BA from Stanford University.

Crystal Kim
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Crystal Kim is a Korean-American actor now based in LA. She received her degree in Theater Arts and Performance Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from UC Irvine. She also studied classical acting at LAMDA in London. She is a lover of both theater and film and is devoted to Asian-American representation in all media.
