Workshop with Professor Evelyne Laurent-Perrault, who will be discussing a work-in-progress titled "Pushing the Limits of the Law: Rights, Whiteness, and Meanings of Equality." The workshop is part of the "Black Life in the Colonial Americas" series co-organized by Rachel O'Toole and myself.

Professor Laurent-Perrault is an Assistant Professor of History at UC Santa Barbara, and works on the African Diaspora in Colonial Latin America and the Caribbean.
