Nigel Poort and Earlonne Woods, EARHUSTLE
In an abundance of caution and to ensure social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak, this event has been cancelled.

The award-winning EAR HUSTLE podcast is a partnership between Nigel Poor and Earlonne Woods, formerly incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison, and was co-founded with San Quentin resident Antwan Williams. Episodes offer a nuanced view of people involved with the American prison system and those reintegrating into society after serving time.

At this special roundtable, Jonathan Alexander (English) and PhD students from the School of Humanities who graduated from a summer Podcasting Institute will interview Nigel Poor, co-founder and co-host of Ear Hustle, about the art and power of podcasting. Come learn about the reach of this medium and its power to start conversations and change lives.

Nigel Poor is Co-Founder and Co-Managing Producer of the San Quentin Prison Report Radio Project (SQPR). Nigel Poor is a Professor of Photography at California State University, Sacramento, and a member of the Bay Area photo collective Library Candy. You can also hear Nigel at 4:00pm in Crystal Cove Auditorium.

Co-sponsored by the Humanities Center, Literary Journalism, Criminology, Law, and Society, Womxn's Hub, and the Center for Excellence in Writing and Communication.
