"Antisemitism: Then and Now"

This lunchtime meeting will focus on Chaucer's Prioress's Tale.

Lisa Lampert-Weissig's research explores questions of anti-Semitism and representations of the outsider in literatures in English, French, and German. Her current projects include a book on the legend of the Wandering Jew in medieval and modern contexts, essays on monsters in contemporary popular culture, and Remappings, a digital project on the Jewish presence in medieval and early modern England undertaken with Professor Kathy Lavezzo of the University of Iowa.

Contact Rebecca Davis, radavis@uci.edu to RSVP and for readings.

This event is co-sponsored by the UCI Humanities Center: Borders and Belongings Series, the Center for Jewish Studies, and the Department of English.
