Simidele Dosekun is an assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research centres black African women to explore questions of gender, race, subjectivity and power in a global context. Fashioning Postfeminism: Spectacular Femininity and Transnational Culture (University of Illinois Press, 2020) is her first book.

Rudo Mudiwa is an interdisciplinary scholar of race, rhetoric, and gender. She earned her Ph.D. in Communication and Culture, with a minor in African Studies, from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2018. Her research examines the politics and promise of decolonization in Africa. In 2019, she received the American Society for the History of Rhetoric’s Dissertation Prize. She is currently a Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University.
