IGETC

If you plan on using the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) in place of the UCI lower-division general education requirement, please remember:

•  You must ask your community college to send your IGETC certification to the School of Humanities Undergraduate Study Office. The certification should be on file in our office no later than the end of your first quarter at UCI.

•  If our office does not have your IGETC certification on file, you will be held for completing the UCI general education requirement. (Note: this could result in significant additional course work.)
