Hey there! My name is Allison Marshall and I’m a 3rd year English Major. I lived in the Freshman Humanities House my first year at UCI. My hobbies include listening to music, drawing pictures, and reading books! (Not course books, though. Ew. Well, sometimes they rock. Take cool classes and then your course books reek of awesomeness!) I really love being the H.A. for Humanities because the people in the house are just awesome! I love watching movies with the residents, chatting about books and classes, and just spending time with them in general! They’re an awesome group of people, and a blast to spend time with!
HUMANITIES HOUSE IN ARROYO VISTA
The School of Humanities sponsors 2 houses in the Arroyo Vista community on campus. Each house has its own spacious living room, study space, and fully-equipped kitchen. Residents in the Humanities Houses have the opportunity to participate in events with distinguished faculty, such: as house dinners, film screenings, book readings and international events. The Humanities Counseling Office also works closely with the Humanities Houses to provide in-house academic advising and other support. For more information, or to find out how to live in Humanities House, contact Laura.Imai@uci.edu.
