A Gift from the Orange County Kaiser Permanente Iranian Physicians Opens the Persian Library at UC Irvine

A group of Iranian physicians of Kaiser Permanente came together to fund the opening of the Dr. Samuel M. Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture library at the University of California, Irvine.

A gift of $17,000 allows the center to build bookshelves, hire graduate students to catalogue the books and keep the library open to the university students and the community.

Dr. Touraj Daryaee, the director of the Jordan Center for Persian Studies said: “We are grateful to Dr. Babak Movahedi and the Iranian physicians for their generosity and contribution to Iranian Studies at UC Irvine.”
