Jordan Center for Persian Studies New Scholar-in-residence

Dr. Kamyar Abdi has joined the center as our new Scholar-in-residence

Dr. Kamyar Abdi is the first Scholar in Residence at the Jordan Center for Persian Studies. Born in Tabriz, Iran, Dr. Abdi is an archaeologist and scholar of ancient Iran. He has taught in Iran and the United States and has conducted archaeological excavations in Iran, Turkey and Mexico. While at the center, he is working on a new History of Elam and giving lectures on aspects of Iranian history and civilization.
