Jane Lewisohn is the newest scholar in residence at The Samuel Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture at University of California, Irvine for the 2017-2018 academic year. She is a graduate of Pahlavi University, Shiraz, Iran. She has been involved in the research and promotion of various aspects of Persian culture and Studies for the last four decades. Since 2005 she has directed the Golha Project under the auspices of the British Library, London, and the Music Department of SOAS, University of London. The Golha Project (http://www.golha.co.uk) is an encyclopedic website for Persian music and literature based on the Golha Radio Programs broadcast in Iran from 1956 through 1979. She is currently director of the Golistan Project working in collaboration with the Samuel Jordan Center of Persian Studies at the University of California, Irvine to create a world resource for Persian Performing Arts of the twentieth century, music, film, theater, and printed matter. Sheida Mohamadi, Poet, fiction writer and Journalist, was born in Tehran, Iran. Sheida Mohamadi is the first Poet in Residence at the Jordan Center for Persian Studies at the University of California, Irvine for the 2015-2017 academic year. She was a Poet in Residence at University of Maryland in 2010. Sheida has been a member of Pen Center USA since 2010. She published six books and one audio CD. Her first book, a work of lyrical prose titled The Moonlight Opened its Heart, Lady!, came out in 2001 and her second, a novel titled The Legend of Baba Leila was published in 2005. Her third book, The Snapshot of Lovemaking is a collection of poems published in 2007. Sheida’s next collection of poems, Crimson Whispers was published in 2015. I Blink and You Turn Peacock was published in Jordan Center for Persian Studies at University of Irvine California spring 2016. Hug Me Against the Haze which is a collection of her poems translated into English is currently published in Jordan Center for Persian Studies at University of Irvine California. These poems provide a glimpse into the state of modern Persian poetry in exile, where ideas about the self and home, nostalgia, love and a feeling of loss are expressed against the backdrop of three continents visited by the poet. Sheida Mohamadi’s newly published audio CD, where she recites fifty of her poems from her book "I Blink and You are a Peacock" along with the music of cellist, Homayoun Khosravi.
Her poems have been translated into different languages, including English, French, Arabic, Czech, Germany, Turkish, Kurdish and Swedish.
Sheida Mohamadi was recognized as one of the most notable contemporary Persian writers of 2010 by the Encyclopedia Britannica (Encyclopedia Britannica Book of the Year 2010, page 268).
She also edited and wrote for the women’s page (Safheh-ye Zanan) of Iran newspaper in 2002-2003 and at Farhangestan-e Honar Monthly Review in 2003, both in Tehran, Iran.

Noureddin Zarrinkelk is a renowned Iranian animator, concept artist, editor, graphic designer, illustrator, layout artist, photographer, script writer and sculptor. He studied pharmacy at Tehran University and holds a PharmD. He is the  Cheryll and Richard Ruszat Scholar in Iranian Art and Cinema for 2015 and 2016.
