Charisma Madarang

MadarangCharisma Madarang is a Literary Journalism major and French minor. She was born in Toronto, Canada and yes, she absolutely loves hockey and maple syrup. Madarang has an undying love for good writing and print, which is why she founded JET-LAGGED, an alternative magazine, with her best pal Mohammed Shariff. Someday, she hopes to run a magazine on the international level because, hey, everyone has dreams.

Latest read: La Colère de Maigret by Georges Simenon

Favorite LitJ story: Michael Paterniti's "The Long Fall of One-Eleven Heavy." LitJ prose at its best.

Next destination: France, et puis the Philippines!

Future plans: Start my own magazine in three years and hire all my friends so I can always be surrounded by lovely, talented people.

Recommended reading for everyone and why: 1984 & A Confederacy of Dunces. These novels reveal a depth of human nature you never realized existed but after you do, you spend the next few weeks, months, years trying to appreciate this new reality.
