Last year ISIS celebrated the fortieth anniversary of its founding and the launch of its flagship journal, Iranian Studies. As the premier international scholarly society devoted to all aspects of Iranian studies, since 1967 ISIS has played a pivotal role in promoting cutting-edge scholarship on Iran. Our journal has published articles in all disciplines, ranging from history to anthropology, sociology, political science, literature, religion, film studies, art and art history, architecture, music, urban planning, and economics.


This year ISIS will hold its Seventh Biennial Conference which will be held from July 31 to August 3, 2008, in the Hyatt Park Hotel near the University of Toronto.
