Global Conversations Grants for Graduate Students

The ICWT has a limited amount of funds available to support graduate students, and is pleased to offer grants to help defray travel costs associated with “Global Conversations: A Festival of Marginalized Languages.”

Applications will be considered in light of the conference’s relevance to the student’s scholarship.  Priority will be given to students whose theses or dissertations are already in progress (i.e. advanced to candidacy).

Acceptable expenses include airfare, lodging, and ground transportation ($400 maximum).* In all cases, funds will be paid as reimbursement to students after the conclusion of the conference.
*Exceptions:  Meals, Hotel incidentals such as telephone, parking, and meals in the room will not be covered.

To apply, please provide a one-paragraph statement explaining how the conference relates to your graduate work.  You must also include complete contact information (name, program/school, e-mail, and phone number).

All requests must be submitted by Monday, October 15th at 5 PM via e-mail to Colette Atkinson, Associate Director, at c.labouff.atkinson@uci.edu.
