UCI EVENT SPONSORSHIP
The ICWT offers support for conferences or lectures hosted by the departments and centers at the University of California, Irvine. If you would like the ICWT to co-sponsor an event, please send a request to ICWTDIR@uci.edu or directly to the director's e-mail address. In your request, please state the name of the event, dates, anticipated number of participants, and a very brief description of how the event supports the mission of the center. Funding is limited.
SCHAEFFER FELLOWSHIP
Schaeffer Fellowships offer generous support to graduate students pursuing doctorates in various departments. These fellowships are offered through admissions to the School of Humanities and do not require a separate application.
UCI FACULTY GRANTS
These grants support UCI Humanities faculty working on research related to writing, translation, and cultural contacts. Grants are offered through an open and competitive call as funds become available. See the call for proposals below.
UCI SUMMER INT'L TRAVEL GRANTS
These grants support UCI Humanities graduate students conducting summer research related to writing, translation, and cultural contacts. Grants are offered annually through an open and competitive call. See the call for proposals below.
WRITING AND STUDY GROUPS
The ICWT offers small grants for writing groups and groups studying translation. We will cover the cost of refreshments and snacks for each meeting and help you locate a meeting room. If you would like support for your writing group, please send a request to ICWTDIR@uci.edu or directly to the director's e-mail address. In your request, please describe briefly the goal of the group and provides names of the participants.
