About the ProgramThe World History Program aims to provide middle and high school world history teachers with current research and methods to supplement their existing approach to the discipline. The program consists of a summer vertical teaming institute and academic year institutes for middle and high school teachers. At each institute, teachers will have the opportunity to enhance their content-knowledge through standards-based presentations by members of the UCI History Department and develop a broad, theoretical understanding of World History. Moreover, teachers will participate in discussions on current historical methods practiced in Orange County classrooms by teacher leaders.
