We are proud to welcome Bambi Haggins to UC Irvine as a new Associate Professor of Film & Media Studies! Prof. Haggins' research studies Black/African-American comedy in film, television, digital media and performance, television history, comedy as social and political discourse, African American studies, American studies, and media studies. She is the author of two books: U.S. Television & Cultural Studies and Laughing Mad: The Black Comic Persona in Post-Soul America.
