UCI's African American Studies Department Presents: The Black Index Film Event

In 2021, UC Irvine debuted the black index at the contemporary art center gallery, an exhibition about the persistence of black creativity despite the circumstances of the normativity of black death in America. Join us for an afternoon to screen and discuss two short films (7 minutes each) created by black faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.
