Faultline

Faultline was established in 1992 to provide graduate students in the M.F.A. Program in Writing the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience working as readers and editors on a national literary journal. In 1995 Faultline received a Pushcart Special Mention, and in 1996 a Pushcart Prize and a Pushcart Special Mention, one of the most prestigious awards available to small literary journals. The journal publishes fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, interviews, and art. Works published are by first-time authors as well as by writers of note, such as James D. Houston, Sue Woolfe, Mitsuye Yamada, Peter Bacho, Allen Grossman, Judith Grossman, Kate Grenville, Jeredith Merrin, and Killarney Clary. In addition to solicited work, 400 stories and 2,500 poems were received for last springâs issue. From time to time prominent writers, such as Thomas Keneally and Thomas Lux, have served as guest editors.
