Ian Litwin will present "Ambiguous Figures: William Wells Brown’s Autobiographies of a World-System." Ian Litwin is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of English at the University of California, Irvine. His interests include world-systems theory, antebellum US literature, and the literary and cultural production surrounding slavery and abolition in the nineteenth-century Atlantic world.
