The Program in German at UCI is proud to report on the continued success of one of its former Ph.D. students, Dr. Kevin Yee. The following announcement was recently made public by the University of Southern Florida:

The Academy of Teaching and Learning Excellence (ATLE) and the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships (OCEP), both of which promote the high impact practices that lead to undergraduate student success, will be incorporated into the portfolio of Dr. Bob Sullins, Dean of Undergraduate Studies.  Dr. Kevin Yee, who has served as the Director of ATLE since 2012, will be promoted to the Assistant Dean of Student and Faculty Development and will supervise both ATLE and OCEP.   Dr. Yee, with over a dozen years as a faculty developer, has accepted the challenge of broadening his portfolio and the mission of ATLE, as he promotes an active and engaging teaching and learning environment across the campus.  Likewise, the mission of OCEP is focusing more and more on service learning and other experiential education opportunities.  These two units, which are co-located in the Allen Building suite, also share an interest in promoting effective teaching and learning, through high impact practices in and out of the classroom, on campus and in the community.  Dr.  Yee, who earned a Ph.D. in German Language and Literature from the University of California, Irvine, will assume this new position effective July 1, 2016.

Congratulations, Kevin!
