Chinese Calligraphy Contest

The Chinese Program at the University of California Irvine is pleased to announce its annual Chinese Calligraphy Contest to be held on Tuesday 5/21/2019.

This event is open to all students who are currently enrolled in a Chinese language class at UCI campus. The event aims to promote interest in the study of Chinese language and culture through practice and appreciation of the art of Chinese calligraphy.

This event is supported by a generous endowment established by the late Chinese calligrapher Captain Te Pei Wong. We are also grateful to the East Asian Studies department and the judges of this event for their support.
