location: HIB 100 (UCI Campus Map building #610, see directions & parking)

Dept. of East Asian Languages and Literatures and Chinese Language Teachers Association of Southern California

Eligibility for participation: All students currently enrolled in 1st through 3rd year Chinese language classes in a college/university in the Southern California area are welcome.

Registration:  please sign up through your Chinese instructorby Thursday 5/14/2009

schedule of event: 
10:00   check-in begins (outside HIB 100)
10:30   opening (HIB100)
10:45   writing starts
11:45   final collection of writing, refreshment break
12:30   Chinese Talent Show (HIB 100) schedule
2:00*   award ceremony, judges' comments, announcement of results

*This is only a tentative schedule of the contest. The time it takes for the judges to finish examining all the writing samples and reach a decision on the winners might be a little longer or shorter than this.
