Early Cultures celebrates tenth anniversary by bringing back PhD alumni for conference

The Group for the Study of Early Cultures was founded in 2006 in response to a call for new reseach groups by Dean Karen Lawrence. Our annual graduate conference this year features five alumni from four UCI PhD programs, including the two graduate students, Jacob McDonie (English) and Jesse Weiner (Classics) who organized the very first graduate student conferencefor the new group.

Other participants include Jen Rust (English), Matt Ancell (Comparative Literature), and Donovan Sherman (Drama).

Please join us on Friday, October 28 for a celebratatory conference event. Reception to follow at home of Julia Lupton and Ken Reinhard, 28 Virgil Court.
