| Annual gifts to the School
of Humanities are a very important source of support for the
School of Humanities because they may be used immediately to
further enhance the School's mission and work. Annual gifts are
not endowed and are fully expendable in the year that they are
made. This provides a discretionary fund that is used for meeting
a wide range of Humanities needs.
The Humanities Innovation Fund allows the School to respond
with speed and flexibility to emerging opportunities such as
scholarships and fellowships, visiting scholars and lecturers,
and travel.
