Taking its name from Cisneros' book, this was an Intersegmental Conference in preparation for “Bridging the Gaps,” 1996, exploring issues of voice, gender, narrative styles and metaphor, and critical perspectives in an effort to foster dialogue and enquiry and span both the segments of education and the boundaries of disciplines.
