The CTI typically houses research fellows each academic year for periods of one or more academic quarters (of approximately 3 months each).
Visiting scholars, primarily post-docs and professors, have joined us from their home institutes in Germany, Spain, Korea, Japan, Senegal, and Turkey, and China, among others. (Current and previous research fellows are listed on the right).
The CTI regrettably is unable to provide financial support for its fellows at this time. Our research fellows typically rely on funding from their home institutions or external funding agencies such as Fulbright and DAAD.
For more information on applications and requirements, please write to the address provided on our home page or contact our office manager, Lisa Clark, lness@uci.edu (949-824-5583).
Research fellows typically will need to obtain a J-visa as well as provide proof of adequate financial support and medical insurance for themselves and any dependents.
Additional information for visiting researchers is available from the UCI International Center.
