These workshops are informal presentations of work we are currently pursuing or developing (articles, book chapters, dissertation chapters, and so on). It is not expected that papers will be presented in the traditional conference manner; instead, participants will pose a series of questions related to their research interests and will lead a general discussion. Participants may include faculty and/or graduate students from departments across the university, and each session presenters can be faculty and/or students from different disciplines.
For each meeting, short readings will be suggested and circulated beforehand by the conveners. These can be accessed on the Comparative Literature website.
If you are interested in participating in one or more of these events, please contact Professor Ackbar Abbas. Additional information about upcoming sessions will be made available as it materializes.
