Trans-Scripts Journal Launch [Pt.1] from UCHRI Video on Vimeo.

Founded in 2010, Trans-Scripts is a student run and edited interdisciplinary journal in the Humanities and Social Sciences based at the University of California, Irvine. The inaugural issue was published in February, 2011. Each issue has a special theme; the theme of the second volume will be “Queer Interventions and Intersections.” The deadline for submission is February 1, 2012. See the Submissions page for more detailed information about contributing to our journal.

The editorial collective of graduate students come from a wide range of fields including English, History, Culture & Theory, Comparative Literature, Women’s Studies, and African-American Studies. Faculty advisors represent an even more varied range of disciplines, and submissions are welcome from all fields in the Humanities and Social Sciences, all universities and all countries. All submissions will be reviewed by both students and faculty to ensure the highest quality of work. Though primarily a forum for student work, faculty are welcome to contribute. We will endeavor to publish editorials by renowned experts on each theme covered.
