Classics grad student Teresa Yates will present at THREE academic conference in 2016

Following her talk at the PAMLA (Pacific Ancient and Modern Languages Association) conference in Nov. 2015, at which she presented a paper called "The Performance of Adultery: the Appropriation of Ritual Space and Action in Aristophanes' Thesmophoriazusae," Teresa Yates has been invited to speak at three more academic conferences in 2016:

1. Conference: CAMWS (Classical Association of the Middle West and South); will present a paper called "The Space of Ritual: Marriage and Social Control in Lysias 1 and [Demosthenes] 59" in Mar. 2016

2. Conference: Engendering Time in the Ancient Greco-Roman Mediterranean; will present a paper called "Ritual Time and Restoration in Sophocles' Trachiniae" in Apr. 2016

3. Conference: Feminism & Classics; will present a paper called "Mirrors of Desire: Deictic Imagery and Ritual Efficacy in the Ancient Greek Curse Tablets" in May 2016
