Tam Tran, a graduating student at UCLA, is a filmmaker and Radiohead fan. She and her best friend, Cinthya, are also undocumented Americans. Tam has been asked to testify in Washington, D.C. to defend the DREAM Act. She is afraid because she is used to being behind the camera, not in front. But with the help of her friends, her teachers, and her mom she gathers the courage to speak her truth in front of Congress about the right to dream. The play is based on the real-life story of pioneering undocumented activist, Tam Tran.

The production is staged by East West Players and co-sponsored by UCI Illuminations, UCI DREAM Center, and the Departments of Asian American Studies, Chicano/Latino Studies, Drama, and Urban Planning and Public Policy.
